Charles Bell diaries
Below are some of Sir Charles Bell’s 21 diaries from his 1934 – 1935 Far East expedition including those written on his 1935 visits to Manchukuo and Inner Mongolia (Diary Volumes XX and XXI).
The diaries contain references to Bell's meeting of Jones at De Wang's 'palace' in July 1935 and describe in some detail the general state of affairs in the area at the time.
